Why Detox

Detox has become very popular recently with many different approaches and a wide spectrum of health benefits.

Our detox program follows the approach of the ancient Yoga and Ayurveda masters as well as the ancient Greek fasting practices of

the father of modern medicine Hippocrates.

This practices have been build for centuries from experience and with the knowledge that mother Nature gave to us.

This is what we use today while we draw information from modern research and studies aiming to help and transform our bodies and minds in order to create a foundation, where you will bring positive changes in all the aspects of your life.

This detox weekend is good for everyone and especially helpful and balancing for those who feel either heaviness, chronic fatigue, joint and muscle pains, poor or imbalanced digestion.

How it works

Basically, there are two kinds of purposes or objectives for fasting. We can fast for either spiritual or physical reasons, and both are equally valid.

Spiritually, fasting helps us transcend our addiction and attachment to food, and to realize that

man doesn’t live only by eating. The mind gets clearer, and spiritual awareness deepens. Freed

from having to satisfy physical hunger, one can then turn one’s attention to feeding the mind and spirit.

Physically, fasting enables the organism to detoxify and clean. Because the vast majority of

diseases are caused by autointoxication, fasting has wide-ranging therapeutic benefits. It also gives the digestive organs a much needed rest.

Our tools are Yoga-asana, pranayama, meditation and nutrition. These have the power and Will take care  any imbalance on your Physical body, Panic body and Emotional body.

The Nutrition – Let Nature work for you

Food has a tremendous effect in our body and mind. We are the “result” of our food and thoughts.

Being aware of your food and release the toxins from your system with fasting and exercise is the first step not only to a better health but creating the optimal functioning of your organism and energy levels.

When the body is constantly in an acidic internal environment because of stress and processed substances/(food products), is the ideal state where unwanted bacteria, mucus and inflammation can grow.

Fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits will make you feel light refreshed and clean. Full of nutrients and antioxidants will help your system to release toxins and wastes. The foods that will be provided are alkaline and cooling, and good for cleansing the liver.

The menu will have Juices from fruits and veggies, soups, lightly steamed or cooked vegetables, herb teas and pure clean water.

This detox program will promote an alkaline environment for your body and will give

valuable resting time to your digestive system.

 The Practice

  • Yoga.The scientific sequencing of yoga asanas (postures) works to draw accumulation of toxins

and waste from the organs, muscles and joints, to be eliminated from the body through the

lymphatic system.

  • The breathing exercises (Pranayama) is the most powerful tool to calm the mind. It has the potential to clean the mind from impurities. Using the breath will help you to feel grounded and feel supported during the detox. The yogic breathing will leave you feeling fresh and calm.
  • Meditation is especially valuable for helping you to process emotions and cleanse your mental field. It will help to be more aware on thoughts and feelings and watch them without being attached or deny them. The practice and technique we will focus, is on letting go of all negative and toxic emotions which hold in our body and mind.

The day schedule

Our day will start waking up early before sunrise. This time of the day when nature is quite and mental function is more calm, is the right time for meditation.

We will practice Meditation, Pranayama techniques and Kriyas.

Morning asana practice will be more energetic to create heat for the body detoxification through sweating, while our evening practice will be cooling and restorative with therapeutic applications.

Efficient breaks for rest is good to be taken in between our practice hours to bring harmony in body and mind.

Our first meeting will be on Friday afternoon for orientation and conversation, setting the course of our practice.

 

Preparation

In order to maximize the benefits of this weekend is necessary to follow a diet that will help the body to release toxins out. You will be guided as well on how to continue after this detox so to have a complete experience of detoxifying and cleansing your organism.

During the detox period which will start one week before the detox weekend please avoid:

• Coffee or any other stimulant

• Caffeinated tea, chocolate

• Alcohol

• Sugar, fructose, sweeteners

• Dairy products & eggs

• Meet, poultry, fish

• Wheat and yeast products

• Processed foods

 What to expect from this retreat

This Weekend will offer you a rejuvenative break from everyday habits.

You will also learn simple routines-techniques that can easily be followed in your everyday life to restore your system when needed.

The process of detox will work as re-education for your body and mind to achieve better health and energy levels.

Cancellation Policy: In case of cancellation of the event due to responsibility of the studio participants will receive full refund. For cancellations received 30 days prior to the event, you will receive full refund of the amount paid for the retreat. For cancellations less than 30 days from the date of the retreat, paid amount will be partly refunded, as costs apply for hotel reservation,handling and administration fees.
